Hydramix Hydro Carbon Water Separation

Hydramix is a combination of two proven efficient technologies into a single process for the removal of hydrocarbons from contaminated waters covering a broad spectrum of contaminating oil particle sizes, unrivalled in conventional oil separation technologies.

Hydramix process

The Hydramix process efficiently removes oil, fat and Grease from contaminated water through specific stages of the process, suited to the application to produce a 99.9 % hydrocarbon removal .

These basic stages being :
  • Stage 1 – Skimmers are utilized to remove free oil floating on the surface of the contaminated waste water .This being the most cost effective method utilised in the separation and removal of oil , fat & grease .
    • Skimmers remove free oil droplets > 100 micron
  • Stage 2 - The Hydro Cyclone Separator (Hydraspin) separates oil fat and grease and water with the Hydro cyclone initiating a spinning vortex to force the separation of the lighter Hydrocarbon contaminants
    • Hydra spin process removes 95% of 100-10 micron oil droplets
  • Stage 3 -The Abrimix SSF Technology is able to remove the remaining hydrocarbon contaminants as well as break and separate any Emulsions contained with in the waste water
    • The Abrimix IGF system removes 99,9% of 10 -2 micron oil droplets.
  • The Hydramix process can be tailored to treat client specific hydrocarbon contaminated waste waters .

  • Free Oil – Oil droplets < 150 micron.
  • Emulsified Oil – Oil droplets < 150 and> 2 micron.
  • Dissolved Oil – Oil droplets < 2 micron.
  • Solids Coated with Oil – Heavy solids more dense than water.
